General Notes: | |
.) | I do my best to list every flashlight here, that features at least TTL and is dedicated to Canon EOS. Speedlites without TTL are not listed, or they are in some exceptions marked in an appropriate way (X-Contact for example). Flashes that are not in this list are most probably not featuring one of the TTL modes supported by Canon EOS. However, nobody's perfect. If I am missing something here, let me know. |
.) | Refer to Speedlites > Quantum QFlashes for professional grade bare bulbs, to Speedlites > Bare Bulbs for consumer grade bare bulbs, and to Speedlites > Ring Flashes for macro flashes. |
.) | An additional massive list of mostly vintage X-Contact and non-AF TTL flashes with trigger voltage measurements can be found here. Read the introduction carefully. High trigger voltage might damage your camera. Also see my Camera Body lists for proper trigger voltages of your model. |
.) | Bower SFD728, Emoblitz 728AF, Marumi D728AF, Phoenix SmartFlash 92, RPS D728AF, Soligor DG-28AF are all identical. The Phoenix ZBIS-92 seems to be some kind of predecessor. It has identical specs, but differs by not featuring E-TTL. Very similar to these models are Bower 724 AF and Vivitar 729AF. Both are identical in appearance with the models above, but differ in neither supporting E-TTL (they are TTL only) and in slightly differing GNs. However, none of these brands belong to an OEM, so the manufacturer is not clear. |
.) | Brilliant PZ 46 ETTL and Starblitz SDZ 45 ITTL (not yet planned for ETTL) are obviously produced by Suntax, but Suntax do not list a corresponding model themselves. Same goes for Zeikos ZE-680EX (slightly different model, but obviously same kinship). |
.) | Phoenix APZL-106, SmartFlash PZ139 and ZBIS-106, Soligor DG-34AF and MZ-400 AF as well as Vivitar 730AF and 850AF are of very similar appearance to Suntax DPZ420AF, so I just guess, that they were all made by Suntax. They all differ in various specs though and are not "the same". |
