General Notes:
1.) Tamron Focus Limiters sometimes work strictly mechanically and then only show "Limit/Full" options. Set the lens to the focal range you want to use and lock the switch. Focus will then be limited to the range you selected (either macro or standard/tele).

3 IF (internal focus), RF (rear focus) are all focusing systems supporting a fixed filter thread position.
FF (front focus) means the front lens element or group rotates while focusing, which usually also results in a rotating filter thread.
FC (Focus Clutch) is a MF/AF switch mechanism originally invented by Tokina utilizing the focus ring by pushing it forwards or backwards to enable or disable the AF.
Parfocality is the classic zoom advantage, enabling you to zoom in, focus and zoom out. Most newer / cheaper zooms change their focal point on differing focal lengths. They are therefore varifocal. Also see Note 1.).
4 IR capability: 1st column according to Lens Play (no or minimal hot spot), 2nd column according to IR Forum user reviews (german).
Cam means camera dependent, whether it works or not.
Yes / No means both cases are reported. Might depend on user's sensitivity, camera model, lens charge ...
5 Notes on test references: Photodo was redesigned several times during their history. It looks like some of their MTF data got lost. If there is no MTF data found at the current version, I might have them in the archives. Drop me a line, if needed. Fred Miranda ratings may change over time, and they are user ratings only. Use them carefully. Also double check lens subversions within the ratings.
